 | Garden Window Pendant Instructor: Vickie Hallmark
This
is
an intermediate PMC class. This class teaches the techniques for
combining small glass paintings with fine silver to create
one-of-a-kind jewelry. In this class, students use finely ground glass
enamels, draw
outlines onto slips of glass, bring them to life with
color, and kiln fire to make the artwork permanent. Once the painting
is created, it will be embedded in the silver clay window pendant.
There will be experimenting with
a variety of advanced technical skills: planning for shrinkage, using
molds, controlling glass and metal reactions, decorating with
hand-formed elements, syringe work, and pre-firing components for
later assembly. Students may prepare their own small drawings or
utilize one from an assortment provided by instructor.
One day class from 10a - 5p
Lunch will be provided. Tuition: $195.00, all supplies & equipment provided, including 25g PMC3 to play with.
Next Class is: Saturday, February 20, 2010
