Andrea Guarino Enamels and More Andrea covers a wealth of information in this new class. You will learn methods for using enamels to create wonderful blended and gradient colors on glass beads. How to do off-mandrel work (such as Andrea's hearts), use twisted canes (created in the class), enamels and new glass stamps to decorate your work. Also covered is gold and silver fuming and making nautilus and ammonite beads. Andrea will also cover the importance of good ventilation when doing silver and gold fuming as well as when using enamels. You will be given a set of instructions for easily making a powerful low cost, easy to set up ventilation system. Students should be intermediate level, comfortable working on a propane/oxygen mix torch, and have good working control of their glass.
