Our Artist of the Month for April is Elise Rich. Elise has been a customer of Blue Moon since our very beginning over 6 years ago. Elise is a self taught mosaic artist when she is not working full time as a labor and delivery room nurse. Her business is named Vanilla Girl Designs and for 3 years she was the owner/operator of a really cool retail gift store/gallery on S. 1st. Street. She closed that business down last year so she could concentrate more on her art and teaching.
 
Elise uses mostly stained glass in her colorful mosaic designs. She will mosaic almost anything that will hold still long enough to have glass glued to it....tables, planters, wall panels & bird baths. We carry a number of her wonderful Lazy Susans, Mirrors, and Windows here in our gift gallery.
 
Elise also does on-site installation of floors, back splashes, and fireplaces.
 
Elise teaches a beginner's classe in Mosaics at The Dougherty Arts School. You can find the class listing at the Dougherty Art School.  Her next class starts in June. There's plenty of time to sign up for this class!
