Open Studio for Fusers | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Come collaborate and create during this dedicated studio time just for fusers! And then take advantage of sharing the costs of kiln space with others! Studio time is on a Wednesday from 4-7pm.

Projects taking up to a square foot, will be $15 to fire. To fill up a 13" square kiln shelf, will be $25 to fire. You can select to do a Full Fuse or a Tack Fuse.

Tuition: $40

All tools, grinders, and table space will be available for you.

Stained Glass Kwirky Birds | 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

Add a little springtime color to your window year-round with a whimsical suncatcher you’ve made yourself. In this 3 hour class, students will make one Kwirky Bird (choose from 4 styles), and learn to cut the glass, wrap it with lead, solder the pieces together and add that final kwirky touch of silliness with a decorative wire tail or top-notch. No experience needed. All tools and materials provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Beginner's Stained Glass Lead | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Jim Berry

Students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, lead construction, soldering, framing and cementing.

Students will complete an abstract lead panel with a pattern which is provided, but using your own stained glass that you have selected.

Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $300-$400 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Tuition: $160

One day a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30-9 pm for 6 weeks.

Coral Bowl | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

In this springtime workshop, you will be shown how to lay out strips of glass in different geometric patterns that when taken to a full fuse in the kiln, results in a cool coral bowl! All materials provided and no experience required.

Saturday, June 4
Stained Glass Art Strips | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Instructor: Jim Berry

This stained glass art strip project is a great introduction to leaded stained glass construction, whether you are just interested in having fun making this single panel, or trying to decide if this is an art form that you wish to continue with.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to make simple glass cuts, frame in lead, and solder. You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass. Find all of your favorite colors! Your finished panel's length will be about 15"-20" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top so that you can display your talent with pride!

No experience required and all tools and supplies are provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Prickly Pear Fused Glass Plant Stake | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

This class is perfect for the summer! Make your own prickly pear cactus – very draught resistant, just requires a lot of heat in our kilns!

You will learn how to cut to a pattern, use fiber paper to elevate and puff up, baking soda for cool bubbles, hi-temp wire to attach beads for blooms and make prickly thorns!  All materials provided.

This one-day class requires basic glass cutting skills, and some fusing experience would be useful.

Wednesday, June 22
Introduction to Fusing and Slumping | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

Students will learn the basics of fusing glass together in a kiln and slumping it in molds to achieve various shapes. Instruction includes cutting glass, cutting circles, how a design can be realized with the use of different forms of glass, understanding the firing of a kiln and other cool techniques.

Students will design and complete 5 projects that will use several different firing temperatures: a sampler tile, a 6" square plate, a 7" round plate, a night light or sun dangle, and the last project will selectable by each student.

Tuition: $195
(Tools are provided, as well as materials for the first night's project. Students can expect to spend approximately $100 for glass for the 4 remaining projects.)

This 5 week class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.

Next class is June 22nd through July 20th, 2022.

Monday, August 8
Fast Track Copper Foil | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

In this intermediate 3-week class, students will learn the copper foil technique of stained glass by building on the skills they learned in the lead stained glass class. This will include copper foil construction, soldering, framing and patina application. This is designed as a condensed class based on the difference between lead and copper foil. Some work outside of class will be necessary. You will choose from several basic beginner patterns for their class project. Tools and materials not provided. Note: It is a prerequisite to have taken the 6 week lead stained glass class.

IMPORTANT: Before the 1st class, students will need to come to Blue Moon Glassworks to pick out their pattern and buy glass for their project. Then bring your glass, pattern, and glass cutting tools to the 1st class. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Tuition is $135.

One day a week on Mondays, from 6:30-9 pm for 3 weeks.

Next class will be August 8th through August 22nd, 2022.
