Open Studio for Fusers | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Come collaborate and create during this dedicated studio time just for fusers! And then take advantage of sharing the costs of kiln space with others! 

Projects taking up to a square foot, will be $15 to fire. To fill up a 13" square kiln shelf, will be $25 to fire. You can select to do a Full Fuse or a Tack Fuse.

Tuition: $30.

Bead Shaping and Fundamentals | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Jo Bass

In this 4 week intermediate flame working class, students will learn bead shaping through the use of heat control as well as shaping with and without tools. Fundamentals such as stringer control and encasing will be taught using several different techniques. Students must have completed our Beginner Bead Instruction class (or equivalent) to take this class. This is a great way to learn the fundamentals for the beginner bead artist, or to brush up on techniques for the more experienced beadmaker.

Tuition: $195
All tools and materials are supplied for this class.

Floral Dimensional Beads | 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Jo Bass

In this 4 hour Saturday  intermediate workshop, you will learn how to:
1. Make striped stringer made with frit
2. Make striped stringer for flower petals, leaves and vines.
3. Clear encase stringer for stamens.
4. Make Peony flower bead
5. Apply palladium leaf and/or mesh and fine silver wire.
6. Make simple spiral flowers made with encased stringer.

Students must have the equivalent of our Beginner Bead Instruction plus one of our Bead Shaping and Fundaments classes (or at least 1-2 hours of additional private instruction and/or studio time)

Beginner's Lead Stained Glass | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Susan Stegall

Students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, lead construction, soldering, framing and cementing, while building a fun abstract panel.

Students will complete a lead panel with a NEW pattern which is provided, but using your own stained glass that you have selected.

Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $300-$400 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class.


Tuition: $145

One day a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30-9 pm for 6 weeks.

PMC Ring | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Lydia Johns

Come design your own ring using PMC+ and an incredible embeddable prong setting! In this one day class, Lydia Johns will teach you how to build a ring and then set a faceted stone on your creation. It is a whole lot easier than it looks.

We will cover building a basic ring, texturing your ring band, creating sunken settings, and making sure your ring fits after it is fired.

Each student will create at least one finished ring in class. There is enough clay provided (25gr.) to make 2 rings.

Monday, April 22
Kaleidoscopic Mosaic Mirror | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Mindy Graber

Create an 18" burst of colored glass and shapes while exploring the use and concept of concentric circles of mixed media materials all surrounding a 7" mirror. In this 4 week mosaic class for all levels, you will go from design, to creating your piece, to grouting and having it ready to hang by the last class. Basic glass cutting, grinding, and nipping will all be covered as we progress in construction. A great way to bring creative art and function together.

Supplies that will be included: an 18" round Wedi board substrate, glue, hangers, grout, and a 7" mirror. As well as plenty of colorful stained glass, vitreous tiles and more.

There will be many other materials available for purchase at Blue Moon, such as Italian smalti, mirrored tile, millefiori, and other treasures you may discover in the store. You are welcome to bring personal small mementos of metal or stone to add to your piece.

Tuition $205.

This is a Monday night class for all levels
that will run for 4 weeks from 6:30-9pm.

Beginner's Stained Glass - Copper Foil | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Students learn all the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.

Students will complete a copper foil project. We have many patterns to choose from, or you can supply one of your own (subject to approval). Tools and materials are not supplied. Stained Glass Feather | 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Get an introduction to copper foil stained glass construction while making a fun and colorful feather sun-catcher. In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn basic glass cutting, foiling and soldering. Then, for a unique extra touch, add a few colored Czech-glass beads if you like.

Stained Glass Art Strips | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Get an introduction to leaded stained glass construction and a few little twists while making a gorgeous stained glass art strip that you hang!

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to make simple glass cuts, frame in lead, and solder. You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass, and then choose glass embellishments to make it truly a one-of-a-kind! Your finished panel's length will be about 21" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top.

Imploded Rainbows | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Blue Moon welcomes Bea Stoertz from Germany!

This is a 2-day class for intermediate beadmaking skills. Bea will show you how she creates her rainbow-colored implosion beads and objects.

Day one begins with the special prep work for different kinds of implosions. Using glass and enamels, you will be pulling the smallest possible twisted canes in multiple colors and learn how to apply them. We will start off with implosions for a drop shaped pendant and threadable beads.

Day two we will move on to more complex patterns and different bead shapes.You will also discover how to form cabochons for interchangeable jewelry with just a graphite paddle.

Tuition: $495

This 2 day class will be Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th, 2019.

Eclectic Torch Paintings | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Blue Moon welcomes Bea Stoertz from Germany!

This 2-day class is for absolute beginners as well as skilled lampworkers with no experience in enameling.

Lampworkers will learn how to use their well-known techniques on copper, non-glassy people will adapt simple lampworking techniques and integrate them to torch enameling. It’s all about using vitreous enamels in the torch but on copper and blending those juicy rainbow colors Bea is known for.

In this class we are going to develop extraordinary jewelry pieces from the scratch. You will learn basic metal work, like cutting, sawing, domingand finishing self-designed pieces from a sheet of copper. You will also do some easy riveting with sterling silver.

At the end you may call several pieces of wearable art your own.


Tuition: $495

This 2 day class will be Tuesday, July 2nd and Wednesday, July 3rd.

3-Panel Table Lamp (Intermediate Copper Foil) | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

Add that extra spark of light and ambience to any room with a stained glass lamp you’ve made yourself! In this intermediate copper foil stained glass class, you will make a 3-panel lamp consisting of 1 patterned panel and 2 side panels of solid glass (If you choose to have all 3 sides patterned, you will need to build the other 2 at home). You can either design your own pattern or we have pattern books for sale. Copper foil stained glass skills required. For list of materials and supplies, check our Class Catalog.

Tuition is $165.

Thursday, August 1
Jellyfish | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
We are very excited to be welcoming Tatyana Boyarinova back from Russia with this first of 2 classes she will be teaching.

During this 2-day class, we will try two different ways to make a jellyfish bell and tail.

We’ll discuss our color choice and will work with half transparent and silver glass. One of the main parts of the class is encasing. We’ll practice a lot to cover the bead with crystal clear. As the result of the class, all the students will make two different jellyfish beads.
These are intermediate level classes, so previous flame working experience is required.

Tuition: $450

This 2 day class will be Thursday, August 1st and Friday, August 2nd, 2019.

Bouquets | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
We are very excited to be welcoming Tatyana Boyarinova back from Russia with this second of 2 classes she will be teaching.

This 2-day class includes making off mandrel snow peas, roses and irises. We’ll learn to make different shapes of petals. We will use different ways to work with petals choosing the best way to get the thickness we need. Then the most interesting part of the class – setting up full branches of flowers! At the end of the class students will end up with bouquets of their own glass flowers!
These are intermediate level classes, so previous flame working experience is required.

Tuition: $450
