Fusing Open Studio | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Time to start making gifts for the holidays! Several open studio times are available during the remainder of this year.

Come collaborate and create during this dedicated studio time just for fusers! And then take advantage of sharing the costs of kiln space with others!
Projects taking up to a square foot, will be $15 to fire. To fill up a 13" square kiln shelf, will be $25 to fire. You can select to do a Full Fuse or a Tack Fuse.

Tuition: $30.

All tools, grinders, and table space will be available for you.

Fused Glass Tree Ornaments | 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Come have some fun making your own fused glass ornaments for your tree! Ages 13 and up will enjoy making 2 ornaments that will be treasured for years!

Saturday, January 5
Silvered Ivory Stringer, Dark Ivory and Shards | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Jo Bass

In this 4 hour intermediate workshop, you will learn:
1. To make and use silvered ivory stringer
2. Dark ivory reactions.
3. How to blow shards and apply to beads.

Students must have the equivalent of our Beginner Bead Instruction plus one of our Bead Shaping and Fundaments classes (or at least 1-2 hours of additional private instruction)

Monday, January 7
Glass on Glass Mosaic - Stained Glass Style | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructors: Mindy Graber and Lisa Sejnowski

This is a glass on glass mosaic class with a flare....a stained glass flare! In this 5 week class, you create a beautiful 9"x14" hanging glass panel by combining mosaic and stained glass techniques and designs. Using your choice of a stained glass pattern as the basis for your design, you will construct and solder a lead frame (with hangers) around clear pane glass. You will then spend the next 3 weeks cutting and glueing stained glass onto it in a combination of mosaic and stained glass pattern techniques, and then grout the 5th week.

Tuition: $225

This is a beginner level class, but basic glass cutting would come in handy.

This is a 5 week class that meets on Monday nights from 6:30-9:00pm.

The next class runs January 7th through February 4th, 2019.

Tuesday, January 8
Beginner's Stained Glass - Lead | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Susan Stegall

Students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, lead construction, soldering, framing and cementing, while building a fun abstract panel.

Students will complete a lead panel with a NEW pattern which is provided, but using your own stained glass that you have selected.

Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $300-$400 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class.

Tuition: $145

One day a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30-9 pm for 6 weeks.

Next available class will run January 8th through February 12th, 2019.

Wednesday, January 9
Introduction to Glass Fusing and Slumping | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

Students will learn the basics of fusing glass together in a kiln and slumping it in molds to achieve various shapes! Instruction includes cutting glass, how a design can be realized with the use of different forms of glass, understanding the firing of a kiln and other cool techniques. Students will complete 5 projects of their own designs.

Tuition: $175
(Tools are provided, as well as materials for the first night's project. Students can expect to spend approximately $100 for glass for the 4 remaining projects.)

This 5 week class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.

Monday, January 14
Beginner's Stained Glass - Copper Foil | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

Students learn all the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.

Students will complete a copper foil project. We have many patterns to choose from, or you can supply one of your own (subject to approval). Tools and materials are not supplied.
