Dazzling Dragonfly Plant Stake | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Could your houseplants or garden use a little burst of dazzle? How about a colorful stained glass dragonfly made with your own two hands? In this class, you will learn to cut glass, wrap it and glass nuggets with lead and solder it all together. Then add that extra touch of dazzle with some fun decorative wire-work and Czech glass beads if you like.

No experience necessary and all tools and materials provided.
(It is advised not to do stained glass while pregnant)

Prickly Pear Fused Glass Plant Stake | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

This class is perfect for the summer! Make your own prickly pear cactus – very draught resistant, just requires a lot of heat in our kilns!

You will learn how to cut to a pattern, use fiber paper to elevate and puff it up,  hi-temp wire to attach beads for blooms and make prickly thorns! All materials provided.

This one-day class requires basic glass cutting skills, and some fusing experience would be useful.

Stained Glass Kwirky Birds | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

Add a little springtime color to your window year-round with a whimsical suncatcher you’ve made yourself. In this 3 hour class, students will make one Kwirky Bird (choose from 4 styles), and learn to cut the glass, wrap it with lead, solder the pieces together and add that final kwirky touch of silliness with a decorative wire tail or top-notch. No experience needed. All tools and materials provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

On-Mandrel Flameworked Flowers | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Jo Bass

Spring has sprung and summer is on its way, so let’s make some flowers! In this 4 hour intermediate flameworked flower sculpture class, you will go from learning how to sculpt simple flowers, to ornately beautiful flowers.

We’ll start with 4-5 petals of a single color, and work our way to multi colored petals and stamen using heat control and a few tricks I’ve learned along the way.

All students are required to have beginner bead lessons and at least a couple hours practice time to be able to participate.

All tools, materials and glass rods will be supplied for the class.

This stained glass art strip project is a great introduction to leaded stained glass construction, whether you are just interested in having fun making this single panel, or trying to decide if this is an art form that you wish to continue with.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to make simple glass cuts, frame in lead, and solder. You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass. Find all of your favorite colors! Your finished panel's length will be about 15"-20" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top so that you can display your talent with pride!

No experience required and all tools and supplies are provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Thursday, July 18
Beginner's Lead Stained Glass | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lindsay Foxx

Students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, lead construction, soldering, framing and cementing.

Students will complete an abstract lead panel with a pattern which is provided, but using your own stained glass that you have selected.

Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $400-$500 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)


Tuition: $195

One day a week on Thursdays, from 6:30pm-9:00pm for 6 weeks.

Next class will be from July 18th through August 22nd, 2024.

Monday, July 22
Beginner Copper Foil Stained Glass | 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Students learn all the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.

Students will complete a copper foil project. We have many patterns to choose from, or you can supply one of your own (subject to approval). Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $400-$500 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Tuition: $195

One day a week on Mondays, from 6:30pm-9:00pm for 6 weeks.
(May require some homework to be done outside of class time, depending on complexity of pattern.)

Next class will be from July 22nd  through August 26th, 2024.
