Time to start making gifts for the holidays! Several open studio times are available during the remainder of this year.

Come collaborate and create during this dedicated studio time just for fusers! And then take advantage of sharing the costs of kiln space with others! 
Projects taking up to a square foot, will be $15 to fire. To fill up a 13" square kiln shelf, will be $25 to fire. You can select to do a Full Fuse or a Tack Fuse. 

Tuition: $30.

Dichroic Beads, Twisties and Presses | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

In this 4 hour intermediate workshop, you will learn how to:
1. Use dichroic glass in beads and twisted canes.
2. Make twisted rainbow cane.
3. Use bead presses.

Students must have the equivalent of our Beginner Bead Instruction plus one of our Bead Shaping and Fundaments classes (or at least 1-2 hours of additional private instruction)

Glass Cutting Class | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Instructor: Susan Stegall

Have you ever wanted to sharpen your glass cutting skills? This class is a great opportunity for that. We put together a four hour class on Sunday afternoon that focuses only on glass cutting. We introduce various styles of glass cutters and their proper use, as well as the appropriate running and breaking pliers. Plenty of glass will be provided to practice.

We demonstrate the Morton Glass Works Portable Glass Shop as well as the Beetle Bits Glass Cutting System. These are both great systems for the production stained glass and mosaic artists. We also introduce you to the Taurus III Ring saw.

Mini Bead Shaping and Fundamentals One Night Class | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Jo Bass

This is a "mini" / abridged one night version of our 4 week shaping and fundamentals class. Students must have completed our Beginner Bead Instruction class (or equivalent) to take this class. This class helps beginner bead artists get more experience on the torch so that you can move on to our intermediate classes. This is the class format alternative to a private lesson. 

Tuition: $65

All tools and materials are supplied for this class.

Beginner's Stained Glass- Copper Foil | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

Students learn all the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.

Students will complete a copper foil project. We have many patterns to choose from, or you can supply one of your own (subject to approval).
Tools and materials are not supplied. Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $350-$400 and are available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, please bring them to class.

Tuition: $145

One day a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30-9:00pm for 6 weeks.

Wednesday, October 24
Engraved Dichroic Pendants | 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

In this fun 2-day glass fusing class, you will get to design 2 dichroic pendants that you build and then engrave with your own artwork!
Picasso loved to bend the rules and boldly manipulate shapes and colors! So on one pendant, you will get to bring out your inner Picasso! On your second pendant, you learn how to use ink stamps on the dichroic surface to help create a design. On the first night, you will build your pendants and they will be fired in the kiln. Then the second night, you will then use a dremel to engrave your design in permanently onto your pendants! Then they will be fire-polished and bailed!

Tuition is $95
Includes all glass and use of tools. (if you have a dremel, feel free to bring it)
Got ink stamps that you love? Bring them or use one of ours! Or better yet, freehand!!

Beginner's Stained Glass-Lead | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Art Strips Class | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Instructors: Bob McLaughlin and Susan Stegall

Get an introduction to leaded stained glass construction and a few little twists while making a gorgeous stained glass art strip that you hang!

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to make simple glass cuts, frame in lead, and solder. You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass, and then choose glass embellishments to make it truly a one-of-a-kind! Your finished panel's length will be about 21" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top.
All tools and supplies are provided.

Fused Glass Tealight Candle Votives | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

In this 2 hour class, you will get to make 2 candle votives for small tea lights. One will use 5" long glass stringers to make a mardi-gras woven appearance! And then the second votive will be a single sheet of sheet glass that you will decorate with glass elements.

No class cutting or fusing experience required, and all glass and materials provided.

Striped, Triangle and Window Beads | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Using the Morton glass cutting system makes cutting diamonds quick and easy. We’ll use lead to wrap our diamonds and glass nuggets, and then solder them together.

We’ll have an assortment of clear textured and colored glass to choose from. You’ll love your beautiful, one of a kind snowflake!

All tools and materials provided. No previous experience required.
