Kaleidoscopic Mosaic Mirror | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Mindy Graber

Create an 18" burst of colored glass and shapes while exploring the use and concept of concentric circles of mixed media materials all surrounding a 7" mirror. In this 4 week mosaic class for all levels, you will go from design, to creating your piece, to grouting and having it ready to hang by the last class. Basic glass cutting, grinding, and nipping will all be covered as we progress in construction. A great way to bring creative art and function together.

Supplies that will be included: an 18" round Wedi board substrate, glue, hangers, grout, and a 7" mirror. As well as plenty of colorful stained glass, vitreous tiles and more.

There will be many other materials available for purchase at Blue Moon, such as Italian smalti, mirrored tile, millefiori, and other treasures you may discover in the store. You are welcome to bring personal small mementos of metal or stone to add to your piece.

Tuition $205.

that will run for 4 weeks from 6:30-9pm.

Beginner's Stained Glass - Copper Foil | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Lisa Sejnowski

In this 6 week class, students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.

Students will complete a copper foil project. We have many patterns to choose from, or you can supply one of your own (subject to approval).

Tuition: $145
(Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $350-$400 and are available at Blue Moon. These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks)

One day a week on Tuesdays, from 6:30-9:00pm for 6 weeks. (May require some homework to be done outside of class time, depending on complexity of pattern.)

Beginner's Stained Glass - Lead | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Instructor: Susan Stegall

In this 6 week class, students learn the basics of the art of stained glass including glass cutting techniques, design considerations, lead construction, soldering and framing a stained glass panel.
Students will complete a lead panel, with glass selections you have chosen.

Tuition: $145
(Glass, tools and supplies will run approximately $350-$400 and are available at Blue Moon. These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks)

Wednesday, July 11
Open Studio for Fusers | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Come collaborate and create during this dedicated studio time just for fusers! And then take advantage of sharing the costs of kiln space with others! Studio time is usually on a Wednesday from 4-7pm.
Projects taking up to a square foot, will be $15 to fire. To fill up a 13" square kiln shelf, will be $25 to fire. You can select to do a Full Fuse or a Tack Fuse.

Tuition: $30.
All tools, grinders, and table space will be available for you.

Mosaic Birds and Flowers | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

In this mixed media mosaic class, you will learn how to prepare, design, cut, grind and adhere various glass and mixed media pieces while creating a beautiful one of kind bird or flower!

‚ÄčA pre-cut 1/2" wedi substrate (about 10" in length), tools, glue and grout will be provided, along with a beautiful assortment of stained glass, vitreous glass tiles, and glass rods.

Stained Glass Art Strips | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Instructors: Bob McLaughlin and Susan Stegall
Are you looking to get your feet wet with lead stained glass? Or an experienced crafter looking for new ideas for all those glass scraps?

In this 3 hour workshop, learn the basics and a few little twists while making a gorgeous art strip! You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass, and then choose glass embellishments to make it truly a one-of-a-kind! Your finished panel's length will be about 21" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top.
All tools and supplies are provided.

3-Panel Table Lantern | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Add that extra spark of light and ambience to any room with a stained glass lantern you’ve made yourself! In this intermediate copper foil stained glass class, you will make a 3-panel lantern consisting of 1 patterned panel and 2 side panels of solid glass (If you choose to have all 3 sides patterned, you will need to build the other 2 at home). You can either design your own pattern or we have pattern books for sale. Copper foil stained glass skills required.

Please come to the first class equipped with your glass cutting tools, your pattern (6” wide by 12” high) and your glass.

Tuition for this 4 week class is $165.

Wednesday, August 1
Introduction to Fusing and Slumping | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

Students will learn the basics of fusing glass together in a kiln and slumping it in molds to achieve various shapes! Instruction includes cutting glass, how a design can be realized with the use of different forms of glass, understanding the firing of a kiln and other cool techniques. Students will complete 5 projects of their own designs. All tools will be available for use in class.

This 5 week class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.

Mosaic Bling! | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Come join us for a creative make-and-take and create two handmade mosaic jewelry pieces.

In this two hour session, you will learn how to use Apoxie Sculpt in pendant and ring base substrates. We will have quite a variety of beautiful silver and copper plated bases to select from! By adding small mosaic pieces including murrine and glass in these substrates, you can experiment with your own design style and create your own bling!

Tuition is $95.
Price includes over $40 of materials - silver or copper plated pendant and ring bases, Apoxie Sculpt, murrini, millefiori, and stained glass.

Thursday, October 4
Master the Art of Blown Glass Beads | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Coming all the way from the Venetian island of Murano, Italy, we welcome Davide Penso, who will be instructing students in the centuries-old art of blown glass beads.

This two day class focuses on the techniques and skills needed for making hollow glass beads with a blow pipe.

Day one begins with information about the tools and the process of blowing.He will then demonstrate a round blown bead on the torch, and show the use of transparent and opaque glass as well as encasing, frits, and simple decorations like dots, spirals and zig zags. Following each in-depth demonstration, students will have the opportunity to make their own blown beads.

Day two progresses to the intermediate stage of blowing, shaping, and designing symmetric patterns on the beads. There will also be an exploration of silver foil with a special combination of glass colors.

Tuition: $525.
(A deposit of $262.50 is required to secure your place in this class)
Blowpipes and diamond shears are provided and available for purchase.

This 2 day class will be Thursday, October 4th and Friday, October 5th, 2018.

Classes each day will run from 10am to 5pm, and lunch will be provided by Blue Moon.
