Color in the Flame: Enamel on Copper Pendants | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
In this new one day workshop with local artist Holly Cooper, the magic fusion of glass and metal is explored to produce colorful and expressive pendants and amulets.
We will use Thompson’s enamel on copper sheet that we cut ourselves. Then will fire with a torch, creating eye-catching wearable pendants. We’ll make interesting jewelry using a variety of techniques and materials including sgraffito, metal leaf, liquid enamels, and seed beads. We will also make our own findings for the necklaces from copper wire. The pieces we make will require basic jewelry making skills and tools. We will use torches supplied by the studio for the class session.
All skill levels welcomed!

Tuition: $225

Lunch will be provided by Blue Moon.
Tools and materials will also be provided in the class.

Color Magic | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
We are very excited to have Lisa Fletcher teaching her 2 day "Color Magic" class here at Blue Moon!

When you melt glass over glass, the sum of the colors can be unexpected and unique. All of the beads taught in this class will be made using layering techniques to achieve gorgeous colors.
Of course, great color needs a great base to show it off! These beads are not difficult to make but look difficult. Step by step, they are constructed slowly and carefully. It takes time to make a great bead!
All of the class beads are encased with clear glass. Various encasing methods will be covered and students will marvel at the depth and and sparkle they will achieve.
The large pressed petal bead is a combination of many of the above techniques and will be your masterpiece from the class!

Tuition: $450
(A deposit of $225 is required to secure your place in this class)

The Saturday and Sunday class has been filled, so Lisa is going to teach the same 2 day class on
Thursday, April 19th and Friday, April 20th, 2018.
