3D Mosaic Wave with Flow

In this new intermediate level mosaic class, using mosaic mesh and thinset, you will learn the skill of forming straight Wedi board (lightweight ceramic tile backerboard) into new curves like a wave. You will also learn how to cut glass and tile to create visual flow (andamento) to enhance your background, and make your design pop! And your design will be on the front and the back of the wave.
Supplies that will be included: Wedi board, thinset, mesh, glue, grout, and plenty of colorful stained glass. There will be many other materials available for purchase at Blue Moon, such as Italian smalti, millefiori, glass round tiles, glass nuggets and more. Please feel free to bring your own supply of mosaic tesserae to add uniqueness to your design.
Basic glass cutting and mosaic skills required. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
Tuition is $225.
This is a 5 week class that meets on Monday nights from 6:30-9:00pm, starting on February 18th, 2019.
